Description:BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER 60%/ CONTRACTS MANAGER-40%GENERAL DESCRIPTION ? To develop and expand the overall company customer portfolio across all key areas. The primary objective is to drive new business initiatives for incremental volume and share by negotiating, and finalizing new and key current customer development agreements. Provide analytical and development support to the CEO, and to help in the diagnosis and resolution of key issues. ? To lead the operation for sustainable profitable growth. This will be done by setting the 3,6,9 years strategic plan and aligning the Abu Dhabi functional team and front-line management team to this direction. Maintain close contact with senior management team on major strategic issues and decisions, local government officials, major customers in the marketplace. ACCOUNTABILITY FIELDS: New Business initiatives ? Work closely with the CEO to develop new business objectives parallel to the objectives and targets established in the AOP. ? Support AOP forecast development of DG initiatives, business action plans and priorities. ? Will be responsible to achieve set objective parameters established by the company based on the number of business leads, and volume contribution. ? Create and develop a system application to evaluate business lead potential based on specific evaluation criteria. (P&L vs. Equity) ? Lead all stages related to the assessment process for any lead and communicate recommendations for contract elements to the CEO. ? Develop and maintain a list of potential competitor and maintain a constant communication link for future opportunities. ? Constant feedback on competitive activities in the market. The intelligence feedback should be client specific. ? Maintain an updated intelligence report specifying future expansions and or projects by client and driven by channel. ? Develop and communicate quarterly updates. Key customer development agreements ? Work closely with the CEO to re-sign/re-negotiation key and critical agreements for the company. ? Develop key initiatives related to product and account development programs. (Category Management) ? Evaluate and assess current channel captains and present solutions to improve and develop channels and category. Business Strategy Setting and Plan Development ? Lead team in defining a strategy for a sustainable and profitable business for the Market Unit portfolio ? Lead the team in the preparation, communication and execution of the market specific AOP, including financial framework, Best Practice Tool implementation and sustainability, initiative calendar and people capability ? Tracks overall business performance against strategy and adjusts plans/investment as necessary ? Institute Trimester Planning and Review process Develops Operating Capability ? Enable the team to implement and sustain Best Practice Tools (e.g.. Pricing architecture, territory capability) that enables them to achieve the AOP targets ? Work with functional heads to identify capability gaps and agree on actions plans Coaches the Team ? Clarify roles, set performance standards and goals, and coach direct reports around the core work ? Role models and drives HR processes and tools to ensure value is delivered up through front-line i.e., appraisals, development plans ? Leads the creation of a positive, productive and safe work environment that attracts and retains quality employees ? Develop organization development plan including: The recruitment, development, training, promotion and transfer and termination of employees in conjunction with HR. ? Develop communication system to ensure that the team is fully informed of business plans, activities, company performance etc? ? Conduct weekly management team meetings and other activities to ensure that the team is equipped with the information, motivated and empowered to deliver their business objectives Measures: ? Control and efficiency in expediting departmental administrative requirements. ? Potential volume impact on total company plans sales volume, revenue and market share targets as per AOP ? Effective management of assigned projects. ? Effective role in communicating department and client issues to the GM. ? Potential volume impact on total company growth plans. ? Market place P&L ? Volume, share, cash flow ? AOP executed ? Safety - safe hours, accident rate ? Org health scores ? Quality - % in spec. Skills and qualifications: ? Engineering from a reputable university or business school preferred ? Strong communicator and fluency in English ? Skilled at interacting with all levels in the organization ? Demand and delivers high quality work through attention to details ? Ability to lead, motivate and grow the organization Human Resources. ?
